Hello, Poettering.

I too think that systemd is okay, in the same way that a bloated mess like the linux kernel is okay.

Thank God for Void Linux.

I don't like systemd, but what are you going to do? I'm not installing gentoo, void, or slack. Arch is an otherwise perfect distro. Leaving Arch over systemd would be retarded.

Aside from the fact you're using a bleeding edge OS that constantly breaks?

Yeah, the name certainly doesn't contribute to the fact that Void's documentation is literally worse than if they were to have no documentation, in that it's outdated and in many cases inaccurate. The real appeal of Void, though, is xbps-src, although I feel like most people don't seem to use it. Even less people find it apt to compare xbps with pkg-src, which I find odd, since that seems to be the whole point of the project.

I don't really care either way, but I did encounter an issue with systemd the last time that I used it, probably because I had such a superficial understanding of how it works. For Gentoo, it's a little bit difficult to use systemd if you don't know what you're doing, because there's no documentation, but as for the rest of the ecosystem, it's probably going to be the opposite. The fact that there's any antagonism to systemd is silly though, because there's always going to be an audience outside of systemd that can cohabit, despite the aggrandized, apocalyptic future that the anti-systemd party loves to preach. I just hope people don't act like this once they realize that Pipewire is a thing, since Pipewire is basically the high level audio libraries that OSX's had all this time.

Don't change these.
