I have libertarian/ancap tendencies and I can tell you that knowing that copyright is bullshit is not necessarily socialist. In fact, the idea of copyright and intellectual property stems from the same idiocy that socialism stems from.
Instead of letting everyone mind their own business (NAP), copyright advocates want to restrict you from using your own property (e.g. using your computer to pirate stuff) so other people ("creators", copyright holders) don't feel bad. Where have I seen that before?. Oh right: socialism!. Socialists, instead of letting everyone mind their own business, force people to work a certain way, and own only certain stuff, so capable people can't get too far in life, and dumb people don't feel bad for someone being better than them.

With that being said - you should probably delete the first few paragraphs where you are basically saying “mean people on the internet yelled at me”. If your points are valid (I assume they are) then they are valid regardless of how a few people have reacted.
