Who here uses duckduckgo.com? I would like to try it, but I cannot convince myself that they are actually fair. How do you know that they don't track you, other than their own word? It's fb selling their user data once again.

Yes, this is true. Their explicit selling point doesn't change the facts that you don't control their service and that they can theoretically track you. If you feel that you cannot rely on their promise, then don't use them. You don't have anything to lose by not using them, you have many things to lose if you start using them and they actually contradict their promise.
