https://www.ibm.com/plex/

the font is ok (but nothing special) but the site they made to promote it is literally a crime against humanity.

Doesn't work in my browser.

IBM has always served as a medium between mankind and machine.

Yep, I get to IBM logo and cannot scroll or interact in any other way anymore. The styling seems also fucked, the dropdowns have white text on white bg. I would expect a website for free-software basement dwellers to work on my $4000 React workstation.

what does IBM have to do with free software? their're are like the classic big proprietary software corp

The created IBM PC, which was much less proprietary than alternatives, like LISP Machines.

You have to keep scrolling on the logo, it will fill up first and then continue scrolling.

It's just a shitty mobile site. They're all over the place nowadays. Apple loves em, too: https://www.apple.com/mac-pro/

I am using this one actually. It is one of the best to use with emacs on a terminal.

That looks like some ancient Mac font.

I'm Using Dejavu Sans Mono Book and never tried the meme fonts.
Change my mind

That's the font I used to use 10 years ago back when I was a militant lunix emacs user, I'm surprised it's still around.

This is bitmap, not to mention that it does not support the emacs powerline symbols.

Bitmap fonts are very good for coding

Bitmap fonts are very good for getting eye cancer

Name: Anonymous 2018-04-03 20:47

Using teeny tiny fonts like a dumbass givess you eye cancer. there are bigger bitmap fonts for use on bigger, higher density dispslays.

I thought the point of bitmap fonts was to look good on low dpi displays where anti-aliased fonts would look like a blurred mess. If you have a high dpi screen you can just use a vector font.

Good bitmap fonts are very nice looking.

Name: Anonymous 2018-04-05 6:30

since we're discussing typography faggotry, this is my favorite open sores font. it's not monospaced so it's not for coding but it just looks so good. it's like poor man's Equity: https://github.com/CatharsisFonts/Cormorant

It looks good and seems to have lots of variants and ligatures. Very nice.
