What will happen to old media? Like ancient video formats, or Adobe Flash games. Or software (games, art, etc) for obsolete progamming languages. Do you think people will preserve it, or will it just be forgotten forever?

Right now, we try to preserve cave paintings and pottery of ancient cultures. I think that, for the sake of history, we need to preserve old technology too.

Survival of the Popular. Without archive.org there are very few resources willing to host rare and unpopular content.
Storage costs space. Hard disk degrade. Flash loses chard. Tapes demagnetize. All current storage devices on the market don't last more than few decades. New data formats and protocols are invented each year making a portion of old devices obsolete.
