I hope how useless, anti-intellectual faggots who do dumb shit like play video games or watch anime pretend to be in the same group as people in STEM. They like to pretend that there's a huge overlap between programmers and dorks who spend all their free time on leisure bullshit, but in reality, very few of the people I know who are developers are into gay shit like video games and other time-wasting consumerist hedonistic bullshit.

Self-proclaimed ``nerds'' like to pretend that they're smart for doing simple math in games, like Dungeons and Dragons, which only requires simple arithmetic that anyone who isn't completely brain dead can figure out. I fucking hate these kinds of people.

It's actually the ``normal'' STEM shitheads who are the hedonistic fucks. They use google and facebook products and don't care about anyone harvesting their data. They never donate money to any admirable cause and spend their days trying to keep up with the Joneses.

Buddy, people are aware that there are issues with Facebook, Google, et al. But they're still useful for getting in touch with people and doing lots of things. Stop pretending that everyone only uses email and IRC and freetard social media like Mastodon. In the real world, people use proprietary shit. But guess what? There are plenty of flawed-but-still-useful things in the world. You eat meat, right? Well sometimes animals aren't treated very well. You drive a car, right? Well pollution is bad. But the benefits outweigh the cons. So you use that shit anyway, despite knowing the problems.
Just because someone uses Facebook, especially for a social media presence for their company, doesn't mean they agree with every single thing Facebook does. The whole ``everyone is a sheep except me'' attitude is ridiculous. That's how you'll ensure that you stay a loner who no one ever associates with.

I used to be a freetard privacy nut. Then, once I got back into proprietary stuff that people actually us, I realized what I was missing out on. Despite the privacy concerns, there is so much really useful and convenient software out there. I have met so many people that I never would have known if I decided to be a tinfoil hat freetard who only uses 100% FOSS garbage. FOSS sounds nice in theory, but man, the quality of FOSS programs is shit. The ONLY thing FOSS has going for it is the licensing. That's literally it.
