Why do you /prog/ and /g/ faggots always recommend this? ``Read SICP'' is a just a bad meme, not a good choice for beginners. Even MIT dropped Lisp for its CS courses. Good luck finding a job with unhirable shit like Lisp, Haskell, or just straight up C. No one cares about that boomer shit.

Learn Django or Node. Embrace Java, despite what you might think of it, simply because it's hirable. Learn Python. Learn JavaScript and a couple frameworks.

Lisp is the neckbeard language for people who don't actually do anything with programming other than shitposting on programming boards.

Lisp is not a hirable language. You think people just study programming for fun? No, it's a career. If you want to stick to writing useless research papers in academia, use whatever language you want. But in the real world, you need to keep up with industry demands.
