Why should I believe some filty mexican?

On the topic of Monero, I know a guy whose laptop is slow that it takes almost a minute to respond to a mouse click. For some reason, he just accepts it. Hasn't done anything about it. But I think it's a crypto miner using up all his CPU. There's no way it's that slow without malware.
