Have you read your The Communist Manifesto today?

It's funny that LGBT liberals say they're commies, when they would probably get gulag'd in Soviet Russia.

Also, how come liberals love communism, but hate Russia? Russia is communist.

It’s all just virtue signaling to say they all believe the same thing and are part or the in crowd. If liberals around the world started saying Islam is ideal, the average liberal would start saying they are Muslim without practicing any of it.

Liberalism is just a collection of empty shibboleths. Ted Kaczyinski noted this decades ago in his manifesto.

I believe liberalism isn’t a political ideology but rather a way for people of a certain brain configuration (highly normie, wants to fit in, highly agreeable, etc.) to self segregate socially.

Here’s a theory of mine. Take it or leave it.

4 different types of political affiliations:

1. Liking popular beliefs because it’s popular and you don’t want to be criticized by your peers, or just because it’s the easiest (letting people tell you what your views are)

2. Liking popular stuff because you genuinely like it (uncommon — many people who think they’re in this category are actually in #1)

3. Liking controversial stuff just to be edgy, or maybe just because you hate popular stuff

4. Liking controversial or unpopular stuff because that’s what you genuinely believe in, and you don’t care about whether it’s socially acceptable or not

The most genuine is #4.

PLEASE NOTE: this all depends on where you live. If you live in a liberal area and you are a liberal, you could be #1 or #2. If you are a liberal in a conservative area, you are #3 or #4. It’s not about liberal vs. conservative, it’s about your personal beliefs vs. the beliefs of people around you.

1 is putting up with the status quo, 2 is enjoying the status quo, 3 is hating the status quo, and 4 is not caring about the status quo. Status quo is different based on where you are.

that's not rocket science, it's one of the ways your're are personality influences your're are worldview. there are other ways: e.g. an introvert will generally not a be a grassroot leftist activist (so a leftist introvert is more likely to be either a post-modern academic or a tankie edgelord, but the more introeverted someone is the more likely he is to be either a reactionary or a libertarian or a 'post-left' anarchist), someone open to new experiences will not be a religious conservative, someone who values close relationships will be at least somewhat conservative and will use conservative-like rhetoric even when arguing for liberal or leftist causes (e.g. the whole gay marriage issue is a more conservative version of lgbtqwerty, as opposed to 'anti-assimilation' lefties) etc.

there are, of course, exceptions, but their're are just that: exceptions

someone open to new experiences will not be a religious conservative
Wrong. In fact, being religious or conservative ARE new experiences for me, because I was brought up by atheist liberals. I've tried all sorts of interesting new experiences. Studying abroad, trying psychedelics, you name it. Edited on 10/08/2018 16:28.

as I said, there can be exceptions. but in general, truly conservative religiousness is about conforming to a supposedly eternal and unchanging dogma so obviously it's not too appealing to people interested in new experiences

Don't change these.
