I wonder if Windows 10 itself will become open source in the future. Maybe they will turn it into an "always online" cloud-centric platform which is useless when it's not connected to their servers, so they might make parts of it open source so you'll get the illusion of openness. Embrace, extend, extinguish, and all that.
