this idea was tried about 50 times in the 2000s. it's not a ``universal'' commenting system if you have to use some product. this is no different than leddit except with less users.

What's pretty epic, imo, about dissenter is that it asks for your "real name" and your chosen nickname/display name when signing up via Gab, but then it uses your real name, not your nickname, by default when posting on dissenter.
