You're right. It's ugly. 100MB is not appropiate. But it's still solid software. It's the best there is. The smartest people are not working on goddam text editors, their just a means to an end. The crutches they offer mostly help noobs. Also they've traded space for abstractions. Which was a good move. EVERYONE knows how to make a websight. Now kids can innovate without having to learn some shit with no real life benefit. I wouldn't hire a vimscript Xpert. Now someone who made a clean vscode plugin certainly can do a clean websight.
