Google has always been stunningly bad at UX for no reason at all. GUI design in proprietary software peaked with Windows 95, and I mean that sincerely. Flat design is a disaster.

I prefer Windows NT gui. It is the best interface every invented by humanity. Clean and simple, yet works well with human brain by employing 3d forms.

NT never had a distinct shell. It just used what the equivalent home version used.

Nah, CDE was better and it worked on both Unix and VMS.

Mac OS 8.1 was the pinnacle of GUIs. Windows 95 is lol-tier.

The disconnected menu bar is objectively bad UX. Win95 was a shit OS, but its shell was a genuinely incredible combination of intuitive discoverability and high-speed usability for experienced users. It's criminally underrated because we all had our brains rotted by '90s anti-Microsoft memes.

Windows' keyboard navigability in particular is highly underrated. Mac OS has never been half as good, and Linux is balls as usual.

If I could roll a win 7 desktop with Linux kernel/programs I would in a heartbeat.

Classic shell only of course.

Don't change these.
