Returned to find /prog/ still sucks

I have returned after a few years of having a life to check on my once beloved /prog, and was not disappointed to see that it is still shit, albeit without Sadkov shitposting in every thread

What programming language is this?

While I share this feeling, it's a meta thread and - much like my reply - it's not contributing to the overhaul quality of the board.
The students who have been the core of /prog/ are now pajeeting for a living and have therefore lost all interest in computer science. Kids are very nice but they're still in primary school and have yet to understand the most trivial Fibonacci recursive functions. They'll get up there one day, their interest seem legit.

Even shitposting and trolling has stopped being fun, because 1. that's all that's left and 2. there's nobody to consistently take the obvious baits anymore... they're pajeeting.

He's one of the few posters keeping the board alive. Sometimes he'll share something related to programming but most of the time it's only blog stories from a stateless mentally ill gay jewish parasite or endless rants about evil Putin and evil Russia.

Good posts attract other good posts. If you have the energy, you can help.

I'm the kid from the Fibonacci thread. I'm actually working professionally for half a year now. I just never went to college.

I did a state program. What we learned where the absolute basics of computer science and then jumped straight to programming C#,PHP,Java. After two years of training they send you to an internship to some CRUD shop. After 2 years of internship you're state approved.

Most classmates in the program came in search of a better life, not because they care. Half the class were in their 20s and were changing careers from a dying sector.

Computer science isn't immune to the world going down the shitter.

I appreciate expert programmers coming out of their private holes to educate the unwashed masses. Even I burnt out on the programming sites I adored reading 5 years ago. This is the last public discussion I read and it probably only survived because of its obscurity and repellent nature.
