Da poplar vote@@ Noo there is only one united state, you can't a majority of poplars
The US constitution claims equality for its citizens, but the electoral college vote gives larger weights to votes from smaller states. A system which makes voters from various states unequal is therefore unpatriotic and unamerican, because it goes against the constitution. Those desperately clinging to it because they'd lose most popular votes are therefore also unpatriotic and unamerican, since they want to keep an unpatriotic and unamerican system. This would continue to be the case even if the RWAF tribesmen weren't a minority as they are now, because to those of us who aren't RWAF tribesmen equality is more important than who wins a particular election.

>>3 People often claim the electoral college vote gives larger weights to votes from smaller states, yet 18% of the house of representatives are californians

Why even have districts to vote in, if the vote is only tallied at the state level?
Majority of district wins seems as good or better representative than just the total count, discounting the district rep winner completely

Winner takes all would massively favour voting booth accessibility, everyone quietly reflected by their area's vote is ignored

Shouldn't you award seats per state by voter turnout if you ignore all the nonvoters?
The House is composed of representatives who sit in congressional districts allocated to each state on a basis of population as measured by the U.S. Census, with each district entitled to one representative. Since its inception in 1789, all representatives have been directly elected. The number of voting representatives is fixed by law at 435. In addition, there are currently six non-voting members, bringing the total membership of the US House of Representatives to 441 or fewer with vacancies. As of the 2010 Census, the largest delegation is that of California, with 53 representatives.
3. Your math is bollocks.
yet 18% of the house

>>8 1. No because they are the same thing? 2. 400 / 50 is 8 seats per state, 53 >> 8 3. 18-12 / 12 is 0.5, so within an order of magnitude
You genuinely can't tell the difference between the presidential election and the house elections?
No because they are the same thing?
sasuga your intellect
400 / 50 is 8 seats per state, 53 >> 8
From the wiki quote that was too long for your attention span:
districts allocated to each state on a basis of population as measured by the U.S. Census
18-12 / 12 is 0.5, so within an order of magnitude
If a person has two working eyes and during a peaceful protest against Chinese repression in Hong Kong or a similar cause the police use "non-lethal weapons" and shoot out one of those eyes with a rubber-coated steel bullet, which the media are required to call a "rubber bullet", according to your logic the police can defend themselves by simply saying that the person still has the same number of eyes "within an order of magnitude".

>>11 Is that worse than the police defending themselves with rubber bullets?
