There are no good operating systems for the pi and all drivers are open sores quality. It's not fast enough for anything interesting, to big for IoT. The only useful thing you can do with it is like a web server but memory and hdd is slow and the cpu is slow and it's probably cheaper to get a VPS than to get a static IP plus you don't get pwned because your shitty remote controlled router has security issues.

It's a lame boomer idea of how to get kids into computing. Kids don't enjoy it but it's like a useless christmas gift.
