Octopuses do not have any bones with the exception of their beaks. So if you are responsible and depraved enough to be literally the life support of your 8 limbed friend, you can debeak it like how you’d declaw a cat and then push your member into its feed chute.

You can then let it subsist on your baby batter.

The Octopus is smart. Very smart. It will learn that without its beak, it cannot feed on anything else but your human seed that has to be milked from you.

Every morning, you will feel your clothes slide off and a damp weight on your lower half.

Looking into its yellow animal eyes, it looks back with a thousand-yard stare. This will be routine for all of its meals for the rest of its 3-5 years on this god forsaken planet.

No gopher, no gemini, just plain ol HTTP works for this guy.

Is there some gopher revival movement going on or something? I had a gopher server between 2014-2017 and gopher was dead as hell, I've never even heard of gemini until now.

Basically Gemini uncovered there is a huge untapped audience of people who;
A.hate the hyper-centralized modern web.
B.Want something minimal and reliable
C.Want basic security and convenience
Gopher can't do C, IRC(A) and chat servers(e.g. discord) lack persistence and fediverse is too complex(B) for them, but Gemini has all three.

Once you realize most pages don't just load, but download upwards of 4MB of resources(scripts/styles/ajax/etc) to function it becomes clear the web is not hypertext but a complex app shoved into the browser:
Gemini forces 1page:1file paradigm back, you just won't have sideloaded resources.

Gemini is another example of nerds thinking more code being written is going to solve anything (if publishing shitty blogs over unsecured gopher can be called an unsolved dilemma at all), this time under a minimalist ideology veil. Now it has evolved to a natural next step- heavy internal infighting.

I can't imagine the audience for this thing. Just use gopher. Pygopherd has an http mirror which makes it easily the most accessible server. Gopher still has browser plug-ins and third party mirrors for browsing gopherholes. I can't imagine there's enough sites on gemini to warrant any extra effort than this to browse.
