Now that Putin -- who may soon be dead and be found to have had a brain tumor -- has put the Russian nuclear forces on alert, we may be in for a one-sided nuclear war. Now, I'm not saying we won't get our hair mussed, but the USA can expect to lose no more than, say, forty million dead in the rain of incoming nuclear missiles from Russia. When crazy-minded Putin gives the order to launch the nuclear strike on America, we can expect the twenty largest American cities to be vaporized or incinerated. We will lose such eye-sore cities as New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and other derelict communities. The Americans, though, will not be able to strike back at Russian cities, because we have no beef with the ordinary Russians who inhabit Moscow, Saint Petersburg and other major Russian cities. So even if screwball Vladimir Putin kills forty million Americans in twenty major cities, there is no point in retaliation by Americans to kill Russians. So it looks like one crazy Putin will cap his KGB career by killing forty million innocent Americans. Listen for the air raid sirens; stock your basement with boxes of saltine crackers; advise your children that life will go on somewhere, somehow.
