Hi, I just wanted to let you know that a fork of the Quake source-port: Darkplaces (a fork of Darkplaces) now supports Wolf:ET maps and TrueCombat:Elite maps.
You can put your map and texture and sound pk3s in the data folder of this fork and run the maps (they will show up in the menu).
We just completed the windows builds and now decided to go out into the Wolf:ET world community and inform you of this.
Why use the Darkplaces Fork?
Supports up to 250 players; so you can have big matches.
Has advanced rendering (supports bump, normal, bump+normal (paralax), spectral, reflect, texturemappings) (supports FXAA "blurry" rendering that people like today)
Has over 200+ weapons.
experimental version (source and bins in download) supports up to 240,000 or 4,000,000 entities (depending on which binary you chose to use): so if you want crazy maps with tons of trees forever you can do it.
Has 30 vehicles.
Mounted guns.
Tanks.
Buildable buildings.
Procedurally generated mapping if you wish to use it.
(Which can extend to city generation: see spawn_random spawn_radial spawn_array )

We have done our game code so that real tanks spawn in goldrush and fueldump etc.
