02:03 <+casualuse> hi
02:04 <+casualuse> doubt anyone's here
02:04 <+casualuse> but if you are
02:04 <+casualuse> I notice the unreal editor of old unreal, 2.2, lacks a convert to static mesh option
02:04 <+casualuse> while unreal ed old unreal 2.1 has that option
02:04 <+casualuse> so i need to open my unrealtournament maps in old unreal
02:05 <+casualuse> so I've been following the tutorial on how to get the UT stuff working for old unreal
02:05 <+casualuse> and it mostly works and I can open most of my old maps now
02:05 <+casualuse> however some of them I cannot open
02:06 <+casualuse> on one, "berlinwall", a map I never release 26 years ago, I get an error, and on another one I
did release, 0000TallTowa, I get an error
02:06 <+casualuse> Can't open map "Engine.PlayerReplicationInfo.bWaitingPlayer" for berlinwall
02:08 <+casualuse> Can't open map: 'Can't find Class in file 'Class Engine.LocalMessage", try to load map anyway?
Note: this may crash the editor
02:08 <+casualuse> for 0000TallTowa
02:09 <+casualuse> I've looked on the net and nothing shows up, and grepped the files (but I think they're
non-grepable) and can't find any info.
02:09 <+casualuse> so what do I do? how do I find what actors these are and delete them so I can open the map in
unreal ed 2.1?
02:10 <+casualuse> Could you post a solution to the forum please if you know of one?
02:11 <+casualuse> Shame unreal ed 2.2 (the UT editor of old unreal) can export to obj files like 2.1 can

02:47 <+casualuse> For 0000TallTowa it was the inf.50 bmg guns that cause the 'Class Engine.LocalMessage", so
removing those lets it be in unreal ed 2.1
02:47 <+casualuse> but I still can't figure out what in berlinwall causes
Engine.PlayerReplicationInfo.bWaitingPlayer failure for 2.1
02:47 <+casualuse> i've been deleting actors
02:47 <+casualuse> but still it won't fix

selecting all brushes then (inverting selection) and deleting anything not a brush "fixes" this...

Don't change these.
