Please can we have a /pol/ board so that /lounge/ can stop getting flooded with politics. World4ch used to have one.

I thought about this at first, but it sets a bad precedent.
There's no rule that no politics nor programming is allowed in /lounge/, so if I start to ban people or move threads then it'll just go on and on. I previously moved similar political threads to anarchy because they were all made by the same person, and it didn't seem like they cared about those threads in the first place.
Basically what I'm saying, that if I make /newpol/ or such, it wouldn't change much because people will still make those threads in /lounge/ unless there's an enforced rule that bans political threads which I rather not make.

There's definitely a demand for a political board because lounge is half politics now and people would go there. Nobody's expecting lots of rules on a textboard anyway.

The actual smarter move would be creating multiple boards like world4ch had before, that are for specific interests politics/anime/hardware/etc, and leave the /lounge/ as it is - lets the users pick the boards they like. The problem is that resident autists will rebel about having too much choice in the navbar and demand to shut it down(the usual, laughable argument its that it dilutes users or reduces activity, as if the posts are removed after n days like an imageboard). Having lots of different boards keeps things on-topic and segregates interests/cliques from each other. World4ch had only a few active boards, but the choice that was there allowed slower boards to gain content regardless of user count. Consider that /lounge/ serves as general dump for everything not-programming and /anarchy/ is poorly defined analogue of /trash/.
