Have any of you had success with dumpster diving for free stuff?
Let's share stories and techniques for dumpster diving in this thread.
I once found a bicycle sticking out of a dumpster, and I cleaned it up and fixed it and drove it around for some time, and sold it later for a decent price.
I would love to hear your dumpster diving exploits and tips.

Yes, All online, Actually all my clients' computers are thrown out shit, which I fix. Mostly non-profit. You can find good stuff at electronic stores, and discount ones.

In my region, anything trashed that's not in a locked container is fair game to claim for yourself, and I'm thinking of fishing around for spare parts for a new build.
In my region, people place damaged/not-working electronic equipment next to the dumpster, so either people pick it up and fix it or it is taken to dismantling/recycling.

And what I meant with online, is that my stories are searchable. I won't rat myself out by posting them here.
