earthquakes

Why don't countries like Nepal just build a fence around the edge of the country to keep the earthquakes from entering in the first place? Very simple and saving a lot of lives

No good. We tried that here in NZ and the earthquakes simply came from UNDER the fence.

Obviously then if there is a deep enough trench dug around the periphery of the area you wish to proatect, you will stop the earthquake from coming in.

Are you kidding? You're literally suggesting remodeling the Earth into the shape of an anus to stop earthquakes. Throwing out the baby with the bath water more like.

I am not kidding oar joaking at all, >>4-sama. The digging of area-encapsulating trenches does not suggest that the resulting earthworks resemble an anus!

Alpha male here. Unfortunately, it is as yet unknown how or why earthquakes occur, and there position can't be anticipated. String theorists are working on a model for this, but it is a few years away yet. For now, any earthquake enveloping trench would have to encompass the entire Earth to avoid being misplaced. When the entire Earth is a trench, the comparison to an anus is apt. That is why it hasn't been attempted yet, and won't until string theory allows us a more whole view of what exactly an earthquake is.

a more whole view
Don't you mean "a hole view"?

Why don't we just move Nepal away from the earthquake area?

Name: Anonymous 2015-04-30 2:57

Earthquakes are just when the earth shudders from an orgasm.

We need to fund research into creating an earthquake-suppressing fluid that can be injected into the very bedrock. I predict a non-Newtonian soart of fluid would be the final product.

Why do we even give a shit about Nepal? It's a mountain country. There are bound to be earthquakes there. It's just a risk anyone going to or living in Nepal is always (explicitly or implicitly) agreeing to take. You don't live on an island and expect to never have floods - you don't live outside the polar circle and expect to never have snow - you don't live in the mountains and expect to never have earthquakes.

Wait, Nepal? The savage country whose inhabitants do this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gadhimai_festival ?

Fuck me if I'm sending money to those beasts. They deserve every damn earthquake they get. Every dead or injured Nepalese in that earthquake is justified. It's just God rightfully punishing them for their cruelty.

Madheshis and 80% of the devotees are the people from the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar

The Madheshi (Madhesī, Nepali: मधेशी) are people of Indian origin

Of course it's the slimy indians and their shit religion.

In 2009 activists made several attempts to stop the ritual, including Brigitte Bardot and Maneka Gandhi, who wrote to the Nepalese government asking them to stop the killings.[12][13] A government official commented that they would not "interfere in the centuries-old tradition of the Madheshi people."[2]
Finally, a government saying no to post-modernism and respecting tradition.

That tradition is on par with the "centuries-old tradition of the Niggers" of raping, stealing and murdering.

Because people in the western world don't kill animals for food.

I like it because it pisses off the curryniggers.

That's a huge difference. In the West, we murder animals for food. But they murder them
