I'm all for this, why don't we use ML instead?

Scheme is really the only choice.

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-17 18:20

Just use Common Lisp.

ML is great but maybe we should consider implementing a language in assembly first.

minimal deps, keep the codebase tiny. stuff like that.

im not sure, I tried making a little forth myself based on jones tutoral. It's difficult but there is some beauty to the language. On the other hand it seems impossible to program in.

Sounds like fun. Where do I sign up?

Why, between these beautifully identical digits, of course.

No matter the language, if you're following a Unix design it will be shit.

we're free of that shit

You don't need to start at the bottom. Start with the language you want and build both up & down.

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-18 12:14

but there isn't a really good language like that

Good idea, we could nail our 69 theses on the Church door.
