CALLING OUT MENTIFEX

Name: Artifex 2018-04-29 11:42

I am crazier than you. Don't you think there are many things and much space still to advance upon before tackling and diving into this whole world of insanity that is AI? We still haven't fully utilized or adopted, or developed and improved upon through practice, the many advances on computer science that come out through research every now and then.

Our programming culture is struggling. The namespace is getting too confusing for the beginners, and it seems only the wrong kind of things manage to get any appeal and adoption.

My approach has been to face software development as an art, as an inexact science, which you can only improve upon through personal practice, and which, like art, has no definitive goal or ruleset for what is preferable, but which anyone can get good at using any tools and practicing on any medium if there is enough genius (impetus) and dedication - even "bad" or limiting tools. Creativity rules in jobs where there is creation, and precepts and preconceptions are constantly being broken.

"No silver bullet."

That is something that I think AI will never understand, the subtlety of art.

Maybe what we should inspire ourselves on is the artisan guilds of the past, which regulated membership and held "trade secrets", using their knowledge and expertise as a bargaining chip, when they didn't have much else. The internet makes the impulse to share everything you have strong, but maybe putting all the chips you hold on the table without a mind for occasion is not always a wise move. Same goes for cards.

Sorry; nobody outcrazies mentifex.

No. The time was ripe decades ago.

Very true. The artificial intelligence namespace has split into AI and AGI. See

Like Napoleon Bonaparte who said "I made my own luck", n'est pas?

It's good that you talk about the "occasion" for sharing, because yesterday on sat28apr2018 mentifex here felt such an "occasion" for

I would certainly like to try, heh.

Thanks for the answers.

Since the topic is sharing, I think the following might interest you:

1) I am present in Facebook, and usually share a lot of my thoughts there: https://facebook.com/eduardo.capaverde

2) This is my friend, who is a wise person to listen to, even if sometimes and explosive character. I really like him: https://m.facebook.com/tariq.borges.godinho

3 & 4) We are also on Twitter, starting out. It would be nice to follow us, we would certainly follow you back:

3) https://twitter.com/INTJ140IQ/

4) https://twitter.com/Ri_Qui_Ta/

5) Maps are good for planning journeys, and the following is an Intuition Map I have constructed, and which I usually carry with me, for diverse tasks, Predictive and Constructive. Interpretation itself is a Construction. (I am My Self and not The Other, though something within me is of The Other - I am Of The Past and Of The Present, but there is something within me which is Of To Morrow, and Of The Day After To Morrow, and Of The Far Future): http://boards.4chan.org/x/thread/20709659

Finally, to finish, a question: What do you think the world will be like in 2024? And in 2027? Signs and Stars keep telling me these will be Important Years, but I'm still not sure why. Generally, 1916 (mod 12) are Important Years to watch out for Things, and 1919/1991 (mod 12), to watch out for People. (1889 I would call Devices, and 1907/2018 I still don't know what is exactly about, but I surely am learning a lot this year.)

Damn, I fail at quoting.

For what is worth,

Sorry; nobody outcrazies mentifex.
Madness can be a precious thing, and it can be practiced.

Mentifex would you like to fight me? We'd throw punch at each other like gentlemen and then have a drink.

Correct

Well, aren't you an agreeable person? It is by daring to risk failure that many end up succeeding.

I am Orcus, King of the Underworld. I am already Invincible Under Heaven.

What is the tallest point you can strike me from?

Details are scary when you lead with police pigs - they like to scare you to pretend they're not scared. But death is always at the door and I might not be alive tomorrow. I have been hooked.

No! I will survive this. I will utilize my most secret, and still incomplete, technique: THE DEATH SPIRAL (Counter-Clockwise).

Wish me luck. "Here, here piggie. Here piggie..."

Breakthrough Society - Keepin' it free

Free (gratis) open source software with a focus on performance and technical aspects, that is, reliability, before any ideological disputes.

AI is just a type of search algorithm. We can devise ours, inspiring ourselves in nature. Each person has both a personality, in which it is different from others, and a generality, in which it is similar to others. But the generality is usually ignored and not talked about in today's society. We prize atipicity.

Your approach is mechanical, not organic. Your AI, though giving an interesting output, has no room to grow because it cannot expand and contract (I believe). Though it can accumulate input, it has little room to mess with input format, being tied to a predetermined grammar, I believe.
