So Cudder was working for NSA all this time?

now everything makes sense:
trust me anon, write everything in C (as fast as possible, bounds checking is bloat) and run as root. security is enterprise bullshit for retards

People go to great lengths to exploit even Minecraft glitches, like using sophisticated tools for speedrunning that game in a minute:

Now imagine if that isn't Minecraft, but a banking app, which are also written in Java today. If your program can be hacked, it will be hacked.

Name: Anonymous 2019-01-09 21:40

>>6
And C++ version of Minecraft is orders of magnitude more buggy:

your're are right but it doesn't have anything to do with Java, or with the thread. Java software is not inherently buggier, and this decompiler, while written in Java, is primarily for machine code

why is IDA Pro's website so ancient? is it really just one guy who is maintaining the whole project?

Name: Anonymous 2019-01-12 10:16

That's a very good site.
It would be a waste of resources to introduce the latest fad to it.
Seems like a small business with < 10 people.

The Russian retard failed to monetize his product, making it very hard to purchase, resulting into people just downloading pirate copies, despite they could be actually paying users, who are say interested in modding their software, like games. Also, IDA's main client is Russian government affiliated Kaspersky Labs (a spying venture by FSB), which are similar to NSA's branch.

Also, IDA is relatively hard for modders to use. You can't just open an exe, modify few lines and save this mod back as say a dll. You have to use separate compiler/assembler. So despite there being millions of x86 programs, and billions of users, Russians managed to shrink their market to a few antivirus companies.

If you want to make decompiler, then make it easy to use (modify and save), create a community around it, allow people to share mappings and mods for various programs. Have a marketplace, where people could buy mods or hire skilled people to mod their software. Have various modding challenges to determine best modders.

Russians did nothing of that, basically overlooking billion of dollars market.

That's still not legal
also make your're game

No wonder the NSA made their own alternative, since IDA is compromised Russian malware.

Modding is not legal in general, yet everyone mods their Minecraft.

first of all, check out binary ninja. it's a cheaper and more user-friendly decompiler with an embedded compiler for making modifications. not yet a real IDA replacement though because it has support for much less architectures, but enough for game modders who usually do x86 and x64.

second of all, make your're are game

Of course you can write images back with IDA. It's just that kids who think this is dnspy struggle with x86 tools in general, as they are shocked and appaled old windows binaries don't decompile to clean C#, and instead have to go full cudder autism with registers, instructions, pointers, calling conventions and other h4x0rr faggotry.

>you can write images back with IDA
It can write back only listings. You have to use NASM to compile code and then patch the exe at the address specified in listing.

I.e. there is no exploratory programming, like changing that opcode to nops and pressing F5 to run exe to see what happens. It is long, tedious and boring process.

More like they will have to improve their decompiler, like introducing neural networks to guess variable names and data structures.

Name: Anonymous 2019-03-19 20:34

>>46
I won't hold my breath. IDA still looks like it was made in the 90s because they had a monopoly.

Those features will be coming to Ghidra instead.

Don't change these.
